The Walk to End Alzheimer's
The Walk to End ALZ
Every fall, Sigma Kappa chapters across the country participate in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, which is the world’s largest event that raise awareness and funds for the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. On Saturday October 5th, the Kappa Gamma chapter participated in the Dayton Walk to End Alzheimer's. Members of the chapter started fundraising in early August and were able to donate $7,088 to the cause! Efforts for fundraising mainly consisted of collecting online donations via Facebook, twitter, and instagram. Sigma Kappa was recognized for their efforts as a national team at the walk and was given a table to showcase their organization at the walk. All of the funds collected will go towards raising awareness and funding for Alzheimer's care, support and research.
